Real and fake sago identity
Boil and address
To identify fake sago, it has to boil you in water and check. For this, add water in the pot and sago in it. If the sago has become very sticky when the boiling is made, then understand that sago is fake. Because the real sago remains separate even after going into the water and is less sticky.
You can also know with color
Nowadays, they are being made shiny to show things fresh and pure in the market. The same is with sago. The color of real sago is off white and transparent. But if your sago is absolutely white and shiny, then understand that it can be fake or adulterated.
Touch and check
You can also identify real and fake sago by touching hands. For this, you have to put sago on your palm and rub it. If the sago is leaving too much white powder, then it may be adulterated. Because the real sago does not leave the powder so soon.
Check by putting it in water
You can also test sago by putting it in water. Put sago in normal water and leave it for some time. If the sago is floating in the water, it can be fake. Because real sago does not float in water but sits on the surface.
Do tests by burning on gas
Burn test can also be used to identify real sago. For this, you have to take sago and bake on fire. If sago is causing plastic -like bad smell on burning, then it can be fake. There is no bad odor like plastic when burning in real sago.
