Pratapnagar MLA Vikram Singh Negi said that he was informed by his friend from Maharashtra, Shekhar Chaudhary that 24 devotees from Maharashtra, who were trapped between Uttarkashi and Gangotri, are not being contacted.

Search for people buried under debris continues

The situation is very bad in Dharali village and surrounding areas. The help of investigative dogs and drone survey is being sought to search for people in places covered with debris. Teams of Army, SDRF, NDRF and ITBP are continuously engaged in relief and rescue operations.

13 people have been rescued so far

Army and other relief parties have so far evacuated 13 people through helicopters. These include 11 injured soldiers and 2 local citizens. At the same time, two bodies have been recovered from the spot so far, one of which has been identified. Please tell that a total of 19 people, including 9 army soldiers, are still missing.

173 policemen engaged in relief work
