On National Youth Day, CM Yogi Adityanath said that the inspiration of Swami Vivekananda still guides the youth. India will become a world leader on the strength of youth power, technology, sports, employment and morality.
Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that Swami Vivekananda spread India’s eternal culture and spiritual consciousness to the whole world. He gave global recognition to India and Indianness. CM said that the inspiration of Swami Vivekananda shows us the way to move forward in every situation. He described the journey from Narendra to Swami Vivekananda as the journey from a seeker to a pioneer of the era.
The Chief Minister said that “Arise, Awake and stop not till the goal is achieved” was the life mantra of Swami Vivekananda. His clear message was that success is not possible without concentration on the goal, firmness of resolve and continuity in action. A person who imbibes this feeling can never fail. CM told the youth that with willpower and determination they can become agents of change.
Message of ‘Youth Power-Ration Power’ on National Youth Day
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his views with the resolution of ‘Youth Power-Ration Power’ in a program organized on the occasion of National Youth Day at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan. During this, he observed the exhibition and short film and presented Swami Vivekananda Youth Award to 10 youth, three Yuvak Mangal Dal and three Mahila Mangal Dal. The Chief Minister paid tribute to Jijabai Maa Sahib, mother of national hero Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, on her birth anniversary.
The young saints who awakened the dormant consciousness of India
CM Yogi said that at one time India had almost lost its spiritual consciousness. Civilization, culture and traditions were being insulted by foreign invaders. At such a time, the young monk Swami Vivekananda awakened the dormant consciousness of India and worked to reconnect the country with its sense of Indianness.
India’s message to the world from Chicago Synod
The Chief Minister said that in the Chicago Synod, Swami Vivekananda had proudly said that he comes from the tradition of India, which has always shown the path of human welfare. India never imposed its views by force, but gave shelter and protection to the suffering humanity. “I am proud to be a Hindu” – this proclamation energized the entire nation.

The Chief Minister said that today when there is turmoil in the world, calls come from every country asking Modi ji to do something. This is the strength of India. The world is trusting the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. Its biggest base is the youth power of India. CM called upon the youth to join the Developed India 2047 campaign.
Chief Minister’s expectations from Yuvak and Mahila Mangal Dal
CM Yogi appealed to the youth and Mahila Mangal Dal to play an active role in sports and health related activities. He said that sports grounds are being built in every gram panchayat, mini stadiums at the block level and big stadiums at the district level. Mangal Dal should take forward sports competitions from village to state level. This will provide a better platform to the youth. He also appealed to the youth to campaign against drugs and said that drugs hollow the society and the nation.
Special emphasis on water conservation and environment
The Chief Minister talked about giving priority to water conservation. He called for Shramdaan for the revival of check dams, Amrit Sarovar, old wells and rivers in the villages. Emphasizing on the ‘Ek Peed Maa Ke Naam’ campaign, he said that green cover has been increased in Uttar Pradesh by planting trees on a large scale.
Message of team spirit and collective effort
CM asked the youth to participate in the development of the village with team spirit. Do not let the sports grounds be taken over, come forward in campaigns like water conservation, tree plantation and river revitalization. The Chief Minister also reiterated the target of planting 35 crore saplings in the first week of July.
Employment, technology and self-reliant youth
The Chief Minister said that everything is possible with effort. Under Mission Rozgar, nine lakh youth have been given government jobs in UP. Two crore youth have got employment and self-employment through investment and ODOP scheme. Lakhs of youth have benefited from PM Startup, PM Standup and CM Yuva Yojana. Smartphones and tablets are being distributed to the youth for digital empowerment.
Employment increasing due to tourism and investment
CM Yogi said that there is immense potential in new technologies like AI, machine learning, drones, robotics in UP. Tourism is also becoming a major source of employment. Employment at the local level has increased due to the record number of devotees in Mahakumbh. Today there is an atmosphere of peace, security and development in UP.
Along with technology, morality is also important
The Chief Minister said that along with technology and progress, morality, discipline and social sensitivity are also necessary. The youth will have to be prepared for innovation and research. Swami Vivekananda had described the youth as the architects of the nation. Only strong youth power will make India a world leader. Many public representatives including Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Girish Chandra Yadav were present in the program.
