Up schools celebrate space day: CM Yogi Adityanath government has taken another historical step towards connecting India’s space achievements and new generations with science-technology. The second ‘National Space Day’ will be celebrated on 23 August in schools across the state. On this special occasion, the new module prepared by NCERT will also be launched ‘India – A Rising Space Power’. Special activities will be organized for students in council primary, upper primary, composite and KGB schools.
In this case, Education Minister Sandeep Singh says that India’s ever -increasing achievements in space science have proved to be inspiring for the new generation. Only by giving information about missions like Chandrayaan, Aditya-L1 and Gaganyaan, we will be able to connect them with space science and technology. This will also give a new momentum to the Yogi government’s goal of ‘overall education, overall development’.
Students will be able to make a career in the field of space science and technology
The purpose of this event is to make children excited and interested in space science and technology, so that they can make a career in areas such as science, technology, engineering and mathematics. For this goal, special meetings, exhibitions, workshops and experts will be organized online/offline sessions in schools.
These resources will be carried forward by students
Director General School Education Mrs. Kanchan Verma said that the Ministry of Education has provided resources like initiation, loyalty, NCERT website and Bharat on the Moon portal to make children aware of the achievements of space exploration, on which contemporary activities related to space are regularly updated. In particular, NCERT has designed age and class-based new modules ‘India-a Rising Space Power’, which will be launched on 23 August. This module will be available on the National Digital Library and NCERT website. He said that the government has already started initiatives like smart class, digital library, drone and robotics lab to promote innovation and technical education. Now the programs to be held on ‘National Space Day’ will further strengthen the vision of equipping the council schools of UP with the education of the 21st century.
