Candace Cameron Bure’s daughter, Natasha Bure, is expecting her first baby… and apparently, some of her followers aren’t loving the way she’s been sharing the journey on social media so far. According to the mom-to-be, a lot of people (yes, including women) have been asking her to quite so much, and now, Natasha is firing back.
People are ‘offended’ that Natasha has shown off her bare baby bump.
On Friday, Natasha took to TikTok to share exactly how she feels about private messages from women telling her to cover up her bump now that she and husband Bradley Steven Perry are expecting their first baby.
“I didn’t know this was a thing until I have received countless DMs from grown women telling me I need to put my belly away, buy a bigger shirt or sending me the lengthiest stories about how when they were pregnant, in their time, they didn’t do that,” Natasha said in the video. “I love my pregnant belly. I have never in my life been so proud of my body, so proud that I’m growing a little baby in there—and this is coming from someone that dealt with body insecurity.”
She has no plans to change her behavior.
Natasha went on to say that after having to hide her pregnancy until she was ready to announce it publicly, there’s no way she’s continuing to hide now — especially since her husband has been asking her to show it off more. Isn’t his opinion one of the only two, including hers, that should matter when it comes to a topic like this one?
“I’m only going to look like this for so long, and God willing so many times, so my belly will be out until further notice,” she added. “If that’s not your cup of tea, we will just see you in a couple months.”
Plenty of her followers were willing to hype her up in the comments, with one summing up the “controversy” pretty well in a short statement: “I miss when strangers minded their business.”
Natasha first announced her pregnancy publicly in May.
She announced the exciting news with an Instagram post that she shared on May 8, showing off her bump and her ultrasound photos in a video for the very first time with her husband by her side.
Natasha and her bump are adorable, and she’s an excited first time mom — what’s wrong with that? Good for her for enjoying her pregnancy to the fullest. This period of life really does go by way too fast.
