Mumbai: At least seven people were killed and two others were seriously injured when a car and a motorcycle collided in Maharashtra’s Nashik district. The accident took place near Dindori town in the district late on Wednesday night.
A police official said the they received an alert about the accident at 11.57 pm on Wednesday. The accident took place near a nursery on the Wani-Dindori road. The police reached the spot and recovered both the vehicles from a small canal on the roadside.
Seven people were killed and two others were seriously injured in mishap, police said. Police and other agencies started rescue operations immediately after reaching the spot.
The deceased were identified as:
- Devidas Pandit Gangurde, age – 28
- Manisha Devidas Gangurde, age – 23 years
- Uttam Eknath Jadhav, age – 42 years
- Alka Uttam Jadhav, age – 38 years
- Dattatreya Namdev Waghmare, age – 45 years
- Anusya Dattatraya Waghmare, age – 40 years
- Bhavesh Devidas Gangurde, age – 02 years
