Nargis Fakhri’s Mother Calls Daughter Aliya ‘Caring Person’ Following Murder Charges In US

Nargis Fakhri‘s sister, Aliya Fakhri has been accused of purposefully lighting a detached garage on fire, killing Edward Jacobs, 35, and Anastasia Ettienne, 33 as per District Attorney Melinda Katz.

The 43-year-old was arrested in the matter. While actress Nargis remained tight-lipped about the entire situation, her mother reacted to the murder charges.

Aliya Fakhri’s mother mentioned that her daughter had been struggling with opioid addiction after a dental mishap, which she thinks may have contributed to her unpredictable behaviour. According to multiple news outlets, she said “I don’t think she would be killing someone. She was a person who was caring for everybody. She tried to help everybody.”

Aliya Fakhri Accused of Brutal Murder

The indictment claimed that Aliya Fakhri came to the property at approximately 6:20 AM and yelled, “You’re all going to die today,” before starting the fire. A witness went outside after hearing her shout and saw that the building was on fire. The unfortunate incident was confirmed by the District Attorney’s office in their statement.

Aliya Fakhri was detained at Rikers Island, one of the biggest prisons in New York City when the incident came to light. She was, however, not granted bail due to the murder charges. Aliya might receive a life sentence in prison because of the seriousness of the crime.

Aliya Fakhri was charged with arson, four counts of first-degree murder, and four counts of second-degree murder. The Queens District Attorney’s office has set December 9 as the date of her next court appearance.

For the unversed, Aliya Fakhri lived on Parsons Boulevard in Queens, while the incident occurred in the neighbourhood of Jamaica.
