New Delhi: Namibia has become the first team to qualify for the men’s T20 World Cup 2026 in India and Sri Lanka from the Africa qualifiers. Namibia thrashed Tanzania in their semi-final contest in Harare on Thursday to secure their fourth straight T20 World Cup qualification.
The African nation had earlier qualified for the marquee event in 2021, 2022 and 2024 edition. Namibia would be joined by either Kenya or Zimbabwe, who will face off in the other semi-final. South Africa, runners-up of the last edition, is the third African team at the World Cup, having qualified directly. This will their fourth appearance at the men’s T20 World Cup.
