With just a day left for the worldwide release of Nagabandham, director Abhishek Nama expressed immense confidence in the film, calling it a grand visual fantasy adventure that promises a memorable theatrical experience.
Starring Virat Karrna in the lead, the ambitious film is produced by NIK Studios banner, with Nabha Natesh, and Aishwarya Menon playing pivotal roles.
Abhishek Nama says he was extremely satisfied with the final output. “Nagabandham is a great visual fantasy adventure that the entire family can enjoy together. We are very happy with how the film has shaped up. It is designed to offer audiences a spectacular theatrical experience,” he said.
The director revealed that the idea for Nagabandham was inspired by the mystery surrounding the unopened Vault B of the Padmanabhaswamy Temple. Fascinated by the countless theories surrounding the chamber, he imagined a fictional treasure hidden within such a mysterious setting. That curiosity eventually evolved into an epic fantasy treasure-hunt story. While the mystery served as the inspiration, he clarified that the film is entirely fictional and does not depict the real temple.
Abhishek said the story was always his priority, not the casting. He never envisioned a particular actor while writing the script and instead focused on developing an engaging narrative. Once the screenplay was complete, Virat Karrna was chosen because he perfectly suited the character. According to the director, a fresh face worked better since the story itself is the true hero of the film.
He was full of praise for the producers, who trusted his vision without hesitation. Extensive pre-production work allowed them to visualize the project before filming began, giving them complete confidence in the film.
With over 700 screens in Hindi, more than 200 in Tamil, and nearly 2,500 screens worldwide, Nagabandham is set for a massive global release.
