Nag Ashwin shares latest update on ‘Kalki 2’

Director Nag Ashwin has provided a fresh update on the much-awaited sequel to ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, one of Indian cinema’s biggest recent successes.
Speaking during promotional activities for ‘Sing Geetham’, the filmmaker revealed that principal photography for the sequel is expected to begin in either August or September. He added that much of the groundwork has already been completed, including script development and pre-production planning, which should help accelerate the filming process.
The sequel continues to generate significant interest among audiences. Reports suggest that Deepika Padukone is no longer associated with the project, leading to speculation regarding who will take over the important Sum 80 role. Unconfirmed industry buzz has linked Alia Bhatt to a major character in the film.
The cast is expected to feature Prabhas alongside veteran stars Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan in prominent roles.
