In this game, the Pandavas lost their Rajpat, clothes and themselves at stake due to Shakuni Mama’s tricks and devious schemes.
Not only this, the most tragic and condemnable incident after this game was insulting Draupadi, when she was dragged into a full meeting. But in that terrible moment, Lord Krishna saved the shame of Draupadi and showed it to the whole world that whenever religion is in crisis, then he himself comes down. There is also a less famous but very interesting episode among these incidents when Shri Krishna himself played Chaucer with Shakuni. This story less people know, but there is a deep message of strategy, intelligence and religion. According to the Mahabharata, when the war of Kurukshetra was in its middle level, the Kauravas realized that one after the other, one mighty warriors were dying and the war is going in favor of the Pandavas. At the same time, Angraj Karna had also died by Arjuna at the same time. In such a situation, the Kauravas had no powerful warrior left. Shakuni then put a tactic and called Shri Krishna to play Chaucer in his camp at sunset after the end of the war. Shri Krishna everyone knew what was going on in Shakuni’s brain but still he went to call him. Shakuni placed a condition in front of Shri Krishna to play a game of Chaucer with Shakuni.
If Shakuni wins according to the condition, the war would have ended there without fighting there, due to which the lives of Shakuni, Duryodhana and other remaining Kauravas would be saved and the Pandavas would be given back their royalty and if Shri Krishna had won in Chaucer, the war would continue and the end of the Kauravas was accepted by the Pandavas. The game started, but only Shakuni went on the trick because whenever Shri Krishna’s turn came, he left his turn and asked Shakuni to move forward. When Chaucer’s game was in his final stage, Shakuni insisted on playing Chaucer to Shri Krishna and then a leela. As soon as Shri Krishna took the passes of Chaucer in his hands, the dice became ashes. Shakuni got scared to see this and asked Shri Krishna the meaning of it. Then Shri Krishna replied to Shakuni that these dice, full of negativity, became ashes from the touch of Krishna, if Shri Krishna had played instead of Yudhishthira, there would be no war.
Shri Krishna told Shakuni that for the end of the unrighteousness of the Kauravas, Shri Krishna neither stopped Yudhishthira and other Pandavas from playing Chaucer nor did he come to play in exchange for Yudhishthira himself. The essence says that Shri Krishna never played Chaucer with Shakuni, yes he just went to Shakuni to show Shakuni his leela.
