Prajwal Revanna, who was guilty of rape cases of domestic assistants and being sentenced, has given his response. Revanna, who appealed to the court to give less punishment before the court, claimed that he had done nothing wrong.
During the conviction, Revanna said that his only mistake is to move forward in politics. Significantly, suspended leader of Janata Dal Secular and former MP Revanna was accused of rape by a woman working at her farm house. Along with this, three more cases are going on on him.
According to reports, on Friday, when the judge convicted Prajwal in the rape case from the female assistant, he wept in the court. He then demanded a less punishment in front of the judge. Revanna, who comes from the family of the former Prime Minister, said in the court that he had done engineering from mechanical. He has always been good in studies. She said, “They say that I have raped many women, but no woman has come to complain voluntarily, she came six days before the election (last year’s Lok Sabha elections) … The prosecution brought them deliberately and lodged a complaint.”
Prajwal said that the woman (victim) had not complained to anyone, including her husband or relatives, about the alleged rape. Prajwal said that when some videos broadcast, he came and lodged a complaint. The former MP said, “I have a family, I have not seen my parents for six months … please punish me less, I request the court.” Prajwal, who was arrested when he came from Germany in May last year, said, “I have made the same mistake in my life that I moved forward in politics fast.”
Santosh Gajanan Bhat, a special court judge of MPs/MLAs, on Friday convicted 34 -year -old Prajwal in one of the four cases of sexual exploitation and rape. The court can pronounce the sentence on Saturday.
