AI-generated images and deepfakes have become a growing concern for film celebrities, with several actresses falling victim to manipulated and obscene content. Shriya Saran says she has also faced a similar problem.
Recently, Janhvi Kapoor’s song Chuttamalle was reportedly manipulated using AI and turned into obscene content, drawing condemnation from several celebrities, including NTR and Chiranjeevi.
Shriya Saran, who often shares glamorous photoshoot pictures on Instagram, says some of the images she later comes across on social media look very different from the original photographs.
She revealed that certain parts of her body had been digitally altered and deliberately enhanced to make the pictures appear more vulgar.
The actress said there should be automated tools capable of identifying manipulated images and distinguishing them from authentic photographs.
Shriya admitted that seeing such altered pictures of herself made her feel bad. However, she chose not to make a major issue out of them, as she did not want to give the content additional attention or publicity.
