Injured Police Sub-Inspector Amit KumarDarbhanga (Bihar) – During a Muharram procession, a man named Mohammad Rabbani attacked Police Sub-Inspector Amit Kumar with a knife.
Due to injuries sustained, Amit Kumar has been admitted to the hospital. The police have arrested Mohammad Rabbani. In protest of his arrest, Rabbani’s family blocked the road and burned tires.
On the night of July 5, during a Muharram procession, a scuffle broke out among some members of the Muslim community. As the situation escalated, the police arrived at the scene to bring it under control. During this time, Police Sub-Inspector Amit Kumar fell on the road, and the accused, Rabbani, attacked him with a knife on his left thigh. Despite being injured, Amit Kumar showed courage and managed to apprehend Rabbani and take him directly to the police station. He was then taken to the hospital for treatment.
