New Delhi: Mumbai is hosting a special two-day lecture series titled ‘100 Years of Sangh Journey – New Horizons’ to mark the centenary year of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). The event is part of the well-known Mumbai Vyakhyanmala and is being held on February 7 and 8, 2026, at the Nehru Centre Auditorium in Worli. The programme reflects on the organisation’s hundred-year journey while also looking ahead to its evolving role in contemporary India.
The opening day, Saturday, February 7, featured two sessions led by RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat. The first session was held at 4:00 pm, followed by a second address at 6:15 pm. In his lectures, Bhagwat spoke on the ideological foundations of the Sangh, its social outreach, and its vision for the future, offering attendees a broad perspective on the organisation’s growth and direction.
The lecture series will continue on Sunday, February 8, with two more sessions scheduled during the day. The first lecture will begin at 10:30 am, followed by the concluding session at 12:15 pm. These addresses are expected to build on the themes outlined on the opening day, with a focus on the Sangh’s contemporary relevance and the new horizons it envisions as it enters its second century.
The Mumbai Vyakhyanmala has traditionally served as a platform for public discourse and intellectual engagement, and this centenary edition holds particular significance. The series seeks to bring together history, ideas, and forward-looking perspectives, while encouraging dialogue on the Sangh’s journey so far and its evolving role in India’s social and national life.
