New Delhi: Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor’s brother, Siddhanth Kapoor, has been summoned by Mumbai Police’s Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC). This is part of a major investigation into a Rs 252-crore drug racket involving many celebrities and socialites.
The probe focuses on lavish parties allegedly organised by a drug trafficker and attended by film stars and influencers. Siddhanth Kapoor, along with social media influencer Orry and actress Nora Fatehi, is being questioned about their possible connections to the case.
Siddhant Kapoor summoned by ANC in drug case
Shraddha Kapoor’s brother Siddhanth Kapoor has been called by Mumbai’s Anti-Narcotics Cell in connection with a large-scale drugs case that is making headlines. The investigation involves a Rs 252-crore drug trafficking network, with several big Bollywood names and influencers linked to it. The case began when a drug manufacturing unit was busted in Maharashtra’s Sangli district in 2024.
The Mumbai Police uncovered that the drug network was allegedly run by Mohammad Salim Mohammad Suhail Shaikh. Shaikh was recently arrested after being deported from Dubai. During interrogation, he claimed to have organised lavish parties in Mumbai and Dubai, attended by celebrities including actors Shraddha Kapoor, Nora Fatehi, and influencer Orry, whose real name is Orhan Awatramani. Siddhanth Kapoor’s name also came up during questioning.
Joint Commissioner of Police, Mumbai Crime Branch, Lakhmi Gautam said, “Certain revelations have been made to us and we are verifying facts.” The Anti-Narcotics Cell is trying to verify the claims made by the trafficker and to determine if the named personalities have any involvement in the drug network.
Orry has already been summoned but sought more time to appear before the ANC’s Ghatkopar unit. The investigation is still at a preliminary stage, and police have clarified that no formal charges have been laid against any celebrities yet. They will be called for questioning only if necessary.
This drug case connects to the notorious underworld figure Dawood Ibrahim through associates named in the investigation. The police are working to uncover the full extent of the network, which allegedly involves the use of luxury cars for drug transport and money laundering through hawala channels.
For now, the focus remains on questioning Siddhanth Kapoor and others named in the probe to understand their links, if any, to this drug racket. The case continues to develop as the Mumbai Police Anti-Narcotics Cell gathers more evidence and testimonies.
