Mumbai BMC Elections 2026: Actress Tamannaah Bhatia along with her parents reached Bandra polling booth to vote for BMC Elections 2026. Many other celebrities including John Abraham, Sunil Shetty and Salim Khan also reached their respective centers to cast their votes.
When Akshay Kumar reached the voting booth, a little girl came to him and asked for help for her father. Holding a paper in his hand he said, “Sir, my father is in huge debt.” Akshay did not ignore him and asked his security team to help him, and also instructed him to get his contact number for further help.
Actress Tamannaah Bhatia was seen casting her vote for the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections on Thursday, January 15. She was not alone at the polling booth, her parents were also with her while casting her vote. Tamannaah shared a picture of her inked finger on her Instagram story, and captioned it, “Hope you all have come, Mumbai.” The actress was seen wearing a mauve-pink suit set at the Bandra polling booth. She was walking very slowly holding her mother’s hand.
John Abraham was also seen holding the hands of his parents as they were returning after casting their votes. Dressed in black casuals, the actor then posed for the cameras, and showed off the ink mark on his finger.
Meanwhile, Aamir Khan’s children, Junaid Khan and Ira Khan, were seen arriving at the voting booth with their mother Reena Dutta. Later, Kiran Rao was also seen coming to the voting booth to cast her vote. Suniel Shetty, Salim Khan, Gulzar, cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and Hema Malini voted. Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan also reached for voting.
BMC Elections 2026 Schedule: Voting Information
Voting for BMC elections 2026 started at 7:30 am. Among the early voters were Akshay Kumar, his wife Twinkle Khanna and Hema Malini. Voting ends on Thursday, January 15 at 5:30 pm. It is being told that 1,700 candidates are contesting in the 2026 municipal elections. Of these, 821 are men and 879 are women. Counting of votes cast will take place on Friday, January 16, 2026.
