15 leading tech companies of the world have formed an alliance
A huge and historic event has taken place in the world of technology, which is going to have a direct impact on the Internet and digital services in the future. During the ‘Munich Security Conference’ held in Germany, 15 of the largest and most influential technology companies from around the world have joined hands together. These companies have together announced the formation of ‘Trusted Tech Alliance’ (TTA). This is a proud moment for India because the country’s biggest industrialist Mukesh Ambani’s company ‘Jio Platforms’ has also got a prominent place in this global group.
Which companies are part of this ‘super-group’?
The list of companies joining this new alliance is very huge. It includes technology leaders from America, Europe, Asia and Africa. The ‘Trusted Tech Alliance’ not only includes cloud computing giants like Google Cloud, Microsoft and Amazon’s AWS, but also Anthropic and Cohere, working in the field of AI, are also part of it.
Companies like Ericsson, Nokia, and NTT are associated with the world of telecom and hardware. Apart from this, Cassava Technologies, Hanwha, Enscale, Rapidus, Saab and SAP have also supported this campaign. The inclusion of ‘Jio Platforms’, the digital unit of Reliance Industries from India, shows how strong India’s position has become on the global tech map.
Was there a need for such an alliance?
In today’s era, technology is changing so rapidly that it is becoming difficult for the common man to trust it completely. Since the advent of Artificial Intelligence (AI), questions regarding data security and privacy have deepened. This alliance has been created to overcome this ‘lack of trust’.
The main work of the Alliance is to create a ‘technology stack’ that is completely transparent and secure. This means that for everything from internet connectivity to cloud storage, semiconductor chips used in mobiles, software and AI, a standard will be set on which the world can blindly trust. Common users will directly benefit from this, because they will get more secure and reliable services.
Jio’s inclusion is special for India
The presence of Jio Platforms in this alliance shows that India is now not just a consumer of technology, but also a producer and planner. Jio CEO Kiran Thomas said on this occasion that it is very important for technology to be reliable and transparent for digital development at the global level. He said that Jio is proud to be a part of this alliance and contribute in improving the technical standards.
This group will ensure that technology is not used just for profit, but its benefits reach people around the world. Also, all these companies will work on common principles to prevent any negative impact on society due to digital technologies.
