Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said in the MSME conference that the year 2025 is the ‘year of investment and employment’. Madhya Pradesh is giving a new direction to economic progress by making the youth self-reliant through Udyam Kranti Yojana, Startup Policy and industrial development.
Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the objective of the state government is to make the youth self-reliant by encouraging entrepreneurship in the state. This year is being celebrated as the year of investment and employment. “We are investing in our youth, our dreams and our bright future,” he said.
Youth got new direction from Udyam Kranti Yojana
The Chief Minister said that the Udyam Kranti Yojana has given courage to thousands of youth to start industries by providing banking assistance. Now the youth of the state are not becoming employment seekers but employment providers. He said that MSMEs are the backbone of the country’s economy – these industries increase employment opportunities and strengthen the foundation of self-reliant India. The Chief Minister said, “Today’s conference is not just an industrial event, but the beginning of the Deepotsav of the new India – a celebration of faith and self-respect.”
Assistance of Rs 197 crore to 700 MSME units, 63 startups got support
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav in the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Conference organized in a private hotel in Bhopal.
- Incentive amount of Rs 197 crore given to 700 MSME units with a single click,
- A total amount of more than Rs 1 crore was distributed to 63 startups under the EIR Support Scheme at the rate of Rs 1.20 lakh per annum.
Along with this, land allotment letters were given to 237 entrepreneurs and bank loan assistance of more than Rs 347 crore was given to 5084 youth under the Chief Minister Udyam Kranti Yojana.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav: ‘You all are the basis of self-reliant Madhya Pradesh’
Dr. Yadav said that about 80 crore population of India is associated with MSME in some way or the other. This sector is a symbol of hope, self-respect and self-reliance of crores of families. He said that “MSMEs are nourishing the entire country. Lakhs of people in villages and cities are becoming self-reliant through small industries.”
Contribution of MSME: 30% of GDP and 45% share in exports.
The Chief Minister informed that there are more than 6 crore MSME units in India, which contribute 30% to the country’s GDP and 45% share in total exports. He said that ‘India has today become the fourth largest economy in the world, in which small scale industries have a major contribution.’ Traditional products of the state, like Maheshwari saree, Sharbati wheat of Sehore, Basmati rice of Raisen, Zari of Bhopal, Gudiya of Jhabua, Shri Anna of Dindori – all these have the potential to become international brands.
The path of innovation is increasing with Startup Policy 2025
The Chief Minister said that under Madhya Pradesh Startup Policy 2025, new entrepreneurs are being given assistance of Rs 10,000 per month for one year. At present more than 4 lakh MSME manufacturing units are registered in the state and all services are being provided through one-stop convenience centres. He informed that more than 6,000 startups are registered in the state, out of which 47% are led by women. 102 incubation centers of the state are giving opportunity to the youth to convert their ideas into business. Madhya Pradesh has been ranked in the leader category in the Startup Ranking 2022.
New impetus to industrial development: 19 new industrial areas
The Chief Minister said that this year more than 800 plots have been given to industries. 19 new industrial areas are being built and a proposal to develop 10 new areas is ready. Under the Chief Minister Udyam Kranti Yojana, youth are getting loans up to Rs 50 lakh without guarantee. The government is providing both land and capital. He said that the digital return system has made filing easier and GST has given a new identity to the industries.
The path to self-reliant India through ‘Vocal for Local’
The Chief Minister said that the mantra of ‘Vocal for Local’ given by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will have to be made the slogan of economic freedom. He said that the path to self-reliant India passes through small industries.
With the support of MSME, we will make India the strongest and self-reliant nation by 2047. The Chief Minister said, “The Diwali of indigenous and self-reliant India is starting from this conference.”
Statement by Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Minister Chaitanya Kumar Kashyap
Minister Chaitanya Kumar Kashyap said that under the leadership of the Chief Minister, the MSME sector is progressing rapidly in the state. He said incentives worth Rs 200 crore have been given to entrepreneurs till August 2025 — an example of the fastest distribution in the country. For the first time in the state, 50% land lock subsidy has been started, which will boost export business. He said that subsidy is like hand-holding support for an industrialist in the first two years.
Promotion of investment and planning of industrial units in every block.
Kashyap said that 1080 plots have been allotted to entrepreneurs in the state. The state government has set a target of setting up industrial units in every block. If the startup is approved, the government provides assistance of Rs 10,000 per month for one year so that the new idea gets off the ground. He said that the government has declared the year 2025 as the “Year of Industry and Employment”.
Principal Secretary Raghavendra Kumar Singh: Best policies implemented for MSME
The Principal Secretary said that the aim of the government is that the youth should get employment and industries should grow. 18 new industry policies have been implemented in the state in February 2025. Earlier, 40% incentive was given on MSME investment, now 50% incentive is being given on investment up to Rs 83 crore. He informed that in the year 2024–25, financial assistance of Rs 2,162 crore has been given to 2,500 units, while assistance of Rs 613 crore has been given under the Udyam Kranti Scheme. So far, land has been allotted to 820 units in the state and today letters have been distributed to 237 entrepreneurs. He said that there are more than 6,000 startups in the state, out of which 2,800 are led by women. Today, 83 startups have been given assistance of more than Rs 1 crore.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav boosted confidence by talking to entrepreneurs
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav interacted with small entrepreneurs of Balaghat and Tikamgarh through video conferencing. He also discussed and encouraged the industrialists and new entrepreneurs of Bhopal. Officials of the Department of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, industry organizations, startup representatives and a large number of entrepreneurs were present in the conference.
