New Delhi: The Model School ‘C’ Alumni Association (MSCAA) successfully hosted its fifth annual alumni gathering on July 21st, 2025, at Shaheed Bhai Bal Mukund Sarvodaya Vidyalaya. The event brought together alumni from various years, fostering a renewed sense of community and shared purpose. The day commenced with a warm welcome from Smt. Rajni Taneja, the association’s president. She acknowledged the invaluable contributions and ongoing support provided by Deputy Director (Education) Shri Kuldeep Singh and School Principal Shri Manjul Manohar.
Shri Kuldeep Singh, serving as the Guest of Honour, delivered an inspiring address, emphasising the crucial role alumni play in mentoring and guiding current students. He highlighted the significance of the alumni network in helping students achieve their full potential and fostering a culture of excellence within the school. Principal Manjul Manohar’s address focused on the future of alumni-school collaboration, expressing his hope for an enduring partnership that would benefit both current and future generations of students. His enthusiastic engagement with alumni and students throughout the event was widely appreciated.
A significant highlight of the event was the awards ceremony, recognising the outstanding achievements of students. MSCAA honoured the top three students in Science, Commerce, and Humanities from class XII, with awards sponsored by alumni in memory of their parents. Recognition was also extended to the top three students from class VIII, further demonstrating the association’s commitment to celebrating academic excellence across all grade levels. Beyond academics, the association also recognised exceptional achievements in sports, particularly national-level sports achievers, SPECTRA games participants, and the Best NCC Cadets. Students who excelled in science projects also received special recognition.
An interactive quiz added a fun and engaging element to the event, encouraging interaction between alumni and current students. This unique initiative effectively bridged the generational gap, strengthening bonds and creating opportunities for mentorship and knowledge sharing. A captivating cultural performance featuring traditional Indian dance forms by the school’s talented girls captivated the audience, showcasing the school’s commitment to the arts and cultural enrichment.
The event culminated in a delightful lunch, hosted by alumni Shri Hemant Sudan, creating a relaxed atmosphere for networking and fellowship. Senior Vice President Dr Satish Tyagi concluded the event with heartfelt thanks to all contributors and attendees. The event showcased the MSCAAs’ unwavering dedication to supporting the school and upholding its commitment to academic excellence and fostering a strong alumni community.
