MS Dhoni knows how to make an impact in the IPL as he went on to provide entertainment to the fans in Vizag on March 31, during the match against Delhi Capitals.
The former Chennai Super Kings captain’s 10-year-old tweet has now gone viral after his stunning knock, which despite coming in a loss, proved to be the highlight of the night on Sunday. This was Dhoni’s first outing with the bat in the ongoing IPL 2024 season.
Dhoni went on to score 37 off 16 balls as CSK ended up falling short by 20 runs, but the fans were happy with the performance from the legendary wicketkeeper. After his knock, a tweet from Dhoni’s official X account, has now gone viral. In the tweet, Dhoni states that he is there to entertain the fans and it doesn’t matter who wins the match in the end.
“Doesn’t matter which team wins,I am here for entertainment,” read the tweet.

How did the Vizag crowd react to MS Dhoni’s knock?
It is safe to say that the Vizag crowd was certainly pro-CSK, something that The fans who turned up for the game were largely in yellow jerseys and were given a treat by Dhoni in the end.
Even though the result of the game seemed to be well and truly in Delhi’s favour, each boundary and six hit by Dhoni on the night was cheered by the crowd in Vizag like he was hitting the winning shot in an intense run-chase.

CSK will now travel to Hyderabad on April 5 to take on the Sunrisers Hyderabad.
