MP: Trainee plane crashed in Seoni, collided with high tension line and fell in the field, 90 villages plunged into darkness.

Red Bird Aviation’s trainee aircraft collided with a 33 KV high voltage line in Seoni, Madhya Pradesh and crashed in Amgaon. Pilots Ajit Anthony and Ashok Chhabra were injured in the accident. The line was cut due to the collision, thereby averting the risk of fire and a major accident.

Trainee Air Craft Crash in Seoni: A trainee aircraft collided with a 33 KV high voltage line and crashed in Seoni district of Madhya Pradesh. The accident occurred at around 6.30 pm in Amgaon of Kurai development block. Trainer pilot Ajit Anthony and trainee pilot Ashok Chhabra were injured in the accident. According to local residents, as soon as the plane hit the high voltage line, there was a loud spark and explosion. After this the plane fell in a field there.

The plane belongs to Red Bird Aviation Company

According to sources, the trainee aircraft that was the victim of the accident is said to be of Red Bird Aviation Company. The aircraft was preparing to take off from Suktra airstrip when one of its wings hit the lower part of the high-voltage line connected to the Badalpar substation. Due to this collision, the line was immediately cut, due to which the plane did not catch fire and a major accident was averted.
