According to the police, Rs 2.5 crore as flood relief amount was transferred to fake bank accounts under alleged irregularities in Baroda tehsil in 2021. So far 22 Patwaris and one Tehsildar have been arrested in this scam. In this case, names of total 110 people are registered in the FIR. Amita Tomar is accused of embezzling funds worth Rs 2.5 crore through fake bank accounts along with other officials.

SDOP Avneet Sharma’s team arrested Amita Singh Tomar from her house in Chandravadni Naka, Gwalior. Officials say that Tomar was absent from her duty, due to which she was tracked and arrested. After his arrest, he was sent to the jail in neighboring district Shivpuri.
