In Harda Kisan Sammelan 2026, CM Mohan Yadav inaugurated development works worth Rs 232 crore. He made many important announcements for irrigation, employment, agricultural equipment, MSP, natural farming and increasing farmer income.
Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Harda district has created its own identity in every field of development. Irrigation facility has been made available on almost 100 percent agricultural land in the district, which is a big achievement for the farmers. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has kept four major classes – poor, farmers, youth and women at the center for public welfare. The state government is also working rapidly on industrial and infrastructural development along with all these sections.
Employment, Ladli Behna Yojana and women empowerment
The Chief Minister said that Madhya Pradesh is becoming the fastest state in the country to provide employment to the youth. Under the Ladli Brahmin Yojana, women are being given Rs 1500 every month. He also said that if women work in employment based industries, they will also be given additional assistance of Rs 5000. Mothers and sisters have a special place in Indian culture and the government is making continuous efforts for their empowerment.
Plans for education and children’s future
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Sandipani schools are being established for the better future of children. Harda district has been blessed with three Sandipani schools. The government is distributing free books, bicycles and milk packets to children. Meritorious students are being encouraged by giving them laptops and scooters. The aim of the government is to provide work to every hand and water to every field.
Inauguration and Bhoomi Pujan of development works worth Rs. 232 crores
The Chief Minister was addressing the state level farmers conference focused on agriculture based skill development and custom hiring in Harda. During this, he inaugurated and performed Bhoomi Pujan of 41 development works worth about Rs 232 crore. These include inauguration of 36 works costing Rs 199 crore and bhoomi pujan of 5 works costing Rs 32 crore.
Emphasis on modern agricultural equipment and custom hiring center
The Chief Minister visited the exhibition of modern agricultural equipment at the venue and appealed to the farmers to increase production by adopting new technologies. He said that custom hiring centers will be opened in every assembly constituency of the state to provide agricultural equipment on rent. Along with this, checks were distributed to women of self-help groups, drip irrigation kits to farmers, benefits for nursery management and food processing.
Farmer welfare year and income increasing schemes
The Chief Minister said that Haldhar Lord Balram is the ideal of farmers. The state government has started the Farmer Welfare Year. Along with farming, horticulture and animal husbandry are also being promoted. To increase the income of farmers, a target has been set to increase milk production from 9 percent to 20 percent. A new opportunity for fish production through cage culture is also available to the farmers of Harda.
Government’s focus on wheat purchase, bonus and MSP
The Chief Minister said that the government is committed to providing fair price for wheat to the farmers. This year wheat is being purchased at Rs 2625 per quintal with a bonus of Rs 40. He assured that soon wheat will be purchased at the rate of Rs 2700 per quintal.
Emphasis on natural farming and plantation management
The Chief Minister appealed to the farmers not to burn stubble as it affects the fertility of the soil. The state government is promoting natural and organic farming. Special arrangements are being made in the markets for the sale of these products. Schemes are also being implemented to provide advanced agricultural equipment on rent to small farmers.
Gaushala, agricultural education and grant schemes
The Chief Minister said that machines will be provided to cow sheds to convert straw into straw. The grant given to cow sheds has been increased from Rs 20 to Rs 40 per cow. The number of cow shelters is also being increased in the state. He said that B.Sc Agriculture courses have been started in 11 government universities and 20 colleges, which has started from Ujjain. Farmers will be given up to 50 percent grant to set up agricultural industries.
Irrigation expansion and river linking campaign
The Chief Minister said that river linking campaign is being run to increase the area under irrigation. Farmers of 13 districts are getting benefits from the PKC project. More than 55 lakh hectares of land has been irrigated in the state and there has been an increase of 10 lakh hectares in the last two years. A target has been set to increase it to 100 lakh hectares in the coming 5 years.
Wildlife Conservation and Kuno National Park
The Chief Minister said that the Forest Department is taking measures to protect crops from animals like Nilgai. He said that after the leopards in Kuno National Park, now on March 25, wild buffaloes will also be rehabilitated, which will strengthen the biodiversity of the state.
Address of Minister Vishwas Sarang
Sports and Cooperation Minister and Harda in-charge Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang said that under the leadership of the Chief Minister, development work is being done at a fast pace in the state. 17 departments have been linked together for the welfare of farmers. Farmers are being given fair price for their produce through Support Price and Bhavantar Payment Scheme. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Madhya Pradesh is playing an important role in building a developed India and is moving rapidly towards making the state golden.
