Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated and performed Bhoomi Pujan of 71 development works worth Rs 529 crore in Datia. Announcements like irrigation, roads, education, Jal Jeevan Mission, milk production and free milk scheme will give new impetus to the development of the district.
Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav addressed the inauguration and bhoomi pujan program of 71 development works worth Rs 529 crore at Sevdha tehsil headquarters of Datia district on Saturday. He said that today Datia is emerging as a role model of development, innovation, women empowerment and farmer prosperity.
The Chief Minister said that the airport has been started in Datia and Datia-Bhopal flight service has also started. With the introduction of Vande Bharat train from Khajuraho to New Delhi, Delhi is now just a few hours away from Datia. He said that the construction of Maa Pitambara Lok is going on at a fast pace, which will give a new religious and tourist identity to Datia.
From drinking water crisis to tap water in every house: Big achievement of Datia
The Chief Minister said that at one time Datia was facing drinking water crisis, but today tap water is reaching every house. More than 40 thousand farmers will benefit from the Ratangarh Irrigation Project costing about Rs 2,250 crore. He said that the drug de-addiction campaign of the district has been appreciated at the national level.
Farmers benefit from Ken-Betwa project and irrigation expansion
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, work is going on on the Ken-Betwa National River Linking Project, which will benefit the farmers of Datia. Irrigation facility has expanded to more than 1.48 lakh hectare area in the district. 7 minor irrigation projects have been constructed in the last two years. 1.37 lakh farmers are getting the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, while the Crop Insurance Scheme remains a security cover for 1.26 lakh farmers.
Promotion of milk production, solar pumps and animal husbandry
The Chief Minister said that the irrigation area in the state has increased from 44 lakh hectares to more than 55 lakh hectares. Farmers are being made self-reliant in the field of energy by providing solar pumps. The subsidy per cow for government cow sheds has been increased from Rs 20 to Rs 40. Under Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Kamdhenu Scheme, a grant of up to Rs 10 lakh is being given for rearing 25 cows.
Development works worth Rs 529 crore: Bridge, Jal Jeevan Mission and promotion of education.
The Chief Minister inaugurated 50 works worth Rs 299 crore 32 lakh and performed bhumi pujan of 21 works worth Rs 230 crore 44 lakh. A high-level bridge built on the Sindh River at a cost of Rs 47 crore 96 lakh was inaugurated, which will benefit 200 villages. Under Jal Jeevan Mission, tap water schemes of 122 villages were inaugurated at a cost of Rs 53 crore 20 lakh.
The new building of the first Sandipani Vidyalaya of the district was inaugurated in village Basai at a cost of Rs 40 crore. With this, more than 1500 students will get modern education facilities. Motor Driving Training and Research Institute worth Rs 31 crore was also inaugurated in village Barauni.
Announcements of new road, bus stand and indoor stadium
The Chief Minister announced to build a new road at a cost of Rs 475 crore to strengthen the connectivity of Datia. A new bus stand, 8.5 km long bypass and indoor stadium will be built in Sevdha at Indargarh. Under the Dwarka scheme, Rs 5 crore will be given to Municipal Council Sevdha.
Free Milk Scheme in Schools and Social Security Schemes
From the next session, free milk will be distributed to children in government schools. The dear sisters are being given Rs 1500 every month. Under Rahveer Yojana, people injured in road accidents will get free treatment up to Rs 1.5 lakh and the person who helps will be given a reward of Rs 25,000. The target is to provide permanent houses to all the eligible beneficiaries in the state. In the same year, it was also announced to start government bus service.
Drug de-addiction campaign and encouragement of mass marriage
The Chief Minister said that de-addiction movement is going on in the state. Sale of liquor has been banned at 19 religious places. All the places associated with Lord Shri Ram and Shri Krishna will be developed as pilgrimage sites. The government is working towards stopping wasteful expenditure by encouraging mass marriage ceremonies.
