MP Economy Survey 2025-26: Madhya Pradesh’s Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) at current prices is estimated at ₹16,69,750 crore in the financial year 2025-26 (advance estimates), which is an increase of 11.14% from ₹15,02,428 crore in 2024-25. GSDP at constant (2011-12) prices is estimated at ₹7,81,911 crore, representing a real growth of 8.04% compared to ₹7,23,724 crore for 2024-25. Know the complete details.

improvement in per capita income

From 2011-12 to 2025-26, the per capita net income of Madhya Pradesh increased from ₹38,497 to ₹1,69,050 at current prices and from ₹38,497 to ₹76,971 at constant prices. This shows a significant improvement in the real income of the state.

Sector wise contribution: Primary, secondary and tertiary sectors

Primary Sector: Contribution to GSDP 43.09% at current prices, 33.54% at constant prices. Crop production contributed 30.17%, livestock 7.22%, forestry 2.13%, fisheries 0.61%, mining 2.96%.

Secondary sector: 19.79% at current prices, 26.18% at constant prices. Construction 9.22%, Manufacturing 7.22%, and Utility Services 3.35%.

Tertiary sector: 37.12% at current prices, 40.28% at constant prices. Trade, hotels-restaurants 10.35%, other services 7.80%, real estate and business services 4.98%, public administration 4.96%, financial services 3.73%, transport 2.80%, communication 1.68%, railways 0.82%.

financial and fiscal situation

Revenue surplus in 2025-26 projected at ₹2,618 crore, fiscal deficit at 4.66% of GSDP, revenue receipts at 17.16% of GSDP. Tax revenue expected to increase by 13.57%, debt-GSDP ratio estimated at 31.3%.

Agriculture and Rural Development

Increase in total crop production by 7.66%, food grain production by 14.68%. Horticulture area 28.39 lakh hectares, production 425.68 lakh metric tonnes. Milk production 225.95 lakh tonnes. In rural development, 72,975 km of roads and 40.82 lakh houses were completed.

Industrial Development, MSME and Investment

9.93% growth in secondary sector, 15.80% growth in tertiary sector. 6,125 acres of land allotted to 1,028 units, ₹1.17 lakh crore investment likely to create 1.7 lakh jobs. 1,723 startups and 103 incubation centers active. MSME support ₹22,162 crore, CSR expenditure ₹2,600.47 crore.

urban development

₹24,065 crore allocated in AMRUT 2.0, 1,134 projects approved. 8.75 lakh houses completed under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban). 8 National Awards in Swachh Survekshan 2024.

health and education

Total health expenditure ₹34,112 crore (3% of GSDP). Ayushman card holders 4.42 crore. Maternal mortality ratio reduced to 142 per lakh. Education budget 10.37%, dropout zero in class 1-5, 6.3% in class 6-8. Number of technical institutes increased to 2,070, ₹500 crore financial assistance to 45,668 students under Mukhyamantri Medhavi Yojana.
