The introduction of helicopter service in MP Cabinet Meet, revised cost approval of Satpura and Amarkantak thermal power houses and 354 new senior residant posts in 13 medical colleges were approved.
Bhopal. A meeting of the Council of Ministers was held in the ministry on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. Many major schemes and proposals related to the state were approved in this meeting. These include important decisions such as the introduction of helicopter service, the cost of thermal power houses and the creation of new positions in the medical education sector.
Start of helicopter service in the state
The Council of Ministers has approved to start helicopter service under public-private participation in the state. The service will be operated by private operators and it will run between the airports, helipads and airstrips of the state.
There will be service in three sectors
Helicopter service will be run in three sectors:
- Sector-1: Indore, Ujjain, Omkareshwar, Mandu, Maheshwar, Gandhisagar, Mandsaur, Neemuch, Hanuwantia, Khandwa, Khargone, Burhanpur, Barwani, Alirajpur, Ratlam, Jhabua, Nalkheda, Bhopal and Jabalpur.
- Sector-2: Bhopal, Madhai, Pachmarhi, Tamia, Chhindwara, Sanchi, Indore, Datia, Damoh, Gwalior, Shivpuri, Kuno (Sheopur), Orchha, Guna, Rajgarh, Sagar, Hoshangabad, Betul, Tikamgarh and Jabalpur.
- Sector-3: Jabalpur, Bandhavgarh, Kanha, Chitrakoot, Sarsi, Parsili, Maihar, Satna, Panna, Khajuraho, Katni, Rewa, Singrauli, Amarkantak, Seoni, Sidhi, Mandla, Pench, Dindori, Bhopal and Indore.
The purpose and benefits of helicopter service
The purpose of this service is to provide cheap and permanent air facilities between major cities, religious places, national parks and tourist places.
- Passengers and tourists will get smooth traffic.
- Business and investment will be promoted.
- Tourism and business activities will accelerate.
- There will be new employment opportunities in the state.
Revised cost of Satpura thermal Electrical Home Table
The Council of Ministers Power generating company Limited has approved the revised cost of 660 MW Satpura Thermal Power House (Table).
- Total cost 11,678 crore 74 lakhs (including non EPC).
- The ratio of funding will be 20:80 (partition and loan).
- The state government will provide Rs 684 crore 53 lakh.
- The company will raise the remaining amount from its sources.
- From 2026-27 to 2030-31, Rs 50 crore 62 lakh will be given every year with a budget.
Revised cost of amarkantak thermal power house
The Council of Ministers Power generating company Limited also approved the revised cost of the 660 MW Amarkantak thermal Power House (Chachai).
- Total cost 11,476 crore 31 lakh rupees.
- The ratio of funding will be 20:80 (partition and loan).
- The state government will give Rs 699 crore 90 lakh.
- The company will raise the remaining amount from its sources.
- 66 crore 98 lakhs will be given every year from 2026-27 to 2030-31 with a budget.
Creation of Senior Resident posts in medical colleges
According to the standards of the National Commission for Medical Sciences in 13 Autonomous Medical Colleges of the state, the creation of 354 new posts of Senior Resident has been approved.
Which colleges will get posts
Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Rewa, Satna, Vidisha, Ratlam, Khandwa, Shahdol, Shivpuri, Datia and Chhindwara.

- The operation of medical colleges will be smooth.
- Postgraduate students will be able to do Residency in their own college.
- Availability of medical teachers in non -clinical and para clinical faculties will increase.
