Madhya Pradesh Cabinet approved development works worth Rs 6940 crore. DA of employees was increased to 58%. Many major decisions were taken like Rewa Irrigation Project, OBC Training Scheme and increase in Anganwadi nutrition.
Bhopal. In Madhya Pradesh, a meeting of the Council of Ministers was held in the Ministry on 23 March under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. In this meeting, many major decisions related to construction and development in the state were taken. The Council of Ministers approved various development works and their continuation worth a total of Rs 6 thousand 940 crore.
Dearness Allowance increased: Relief to employees and pensioners (DA Hike MP Govt 2025)
The Council of Ministers approved increasing the dearness allowance by 3 percent to 58 percent for government employees under the seventh pay scale from July 1, 2025. The allowances for sixth pay scale and other pay scale employees will also be increased proportionately. The arrear amount from July 1, 2025 to March 31, 2026 will be paid in 6 installments. Installments will be given in May, June, July, August, September and October
In case of retired and deceased employees, arrears will be paid in lump sum. It was also decided to provide pension relief of 58% (seventh pay scale) and 257% (sixth pay scale) to pensioners and family pensioners from January 1, 2026.
Mahana Micro Irrigation Project approved in Rewa (Rewa Irrigation Project)
The Council of Ministers approved Rs 82 crore 39 lakh for the Mahana Micro Irrigation Project of Rewa district. This project will provide irrigation facility in 4500 hectare area and about 950 farmer families of 18 villages of Jawa and Tyonthar tehsil will be benefited.
‘Shaurya Sankalp Training Scheme 2026’ for OBC youth (OBC Training Scheme MP)
The state government has approved ‘Shaurya Sankalp Training Scheme 2026’ for Other Backward Class (OBC) youth. Under this scheme, every year 4000 youth will be prepared for recruitment in the army, police, home guards and other security forces.
- Rs 1000 per month for male candidates
- Rs 1100 per month for female candidates
Training will be imparted in 40 training centers at 10 locations in the state, with at least 35% seats reserved for women. Along with this, free accommodation, food and study material will also be provided.
18 thousand honorarium to guest teachers of disabled institutions (Guest Teacher Salary MP)
The Council of Ministers has decided to give an honorarium of Rs 18 thousand per month to the guest teachers of institutions working in the field of disability. This honorarium will be similar to that of guest teacher class-1 of the School Education Department.
Increase in nutrition of Anganwadi children (Anganwadi Nutrition Scheme MP)
The state government has increased the nutrition amount for underweight children aged 6 months to 6 years in Anganwadi centres. Now the amount per beneficiary has been increased from Rs 8 to Rs 12 per day, which will improve the nutritional level of children.
Approval of development works of various departments (Infrastructure Development MP)
The Council of Ministers approved the schemes of several departments:
Department of Commerce
- Rs 2933 crore for rural housing and transport infrastructure
- Rs 37 crore for tribunal and property maintenance
- Rs 162 crore for IT and installation expenses
Public Works Department (PWD Projects MP)
- 691 crore for construction of ministry, assembly and rest house
- Rs 731 crore for government accommodation and guest houses
- Rs 565 crore for project implementation
- Rs 379 crore for capital project
Approval of Rs 102 crore for tribal schemes (Tribal Development MP)
Rs 102 crore has been sanctioned for the schemes of Tribal Affairs Department – cultural promotion, research, training and development. These schemes will be continued from 2026-27 to 2030-31.
865 crore for food and consumer schemes (PDS and Welfare Schemes MP)
Rs 865 crore has been sanctioned for several schemes under the Department of Food and Civil Supplies, including:
- smart pds
- Chief Minister Ration in your village
- Ujjwala Yojana
- Prime Minister Gati Shakti
- Chief Minister Youth Annadoot Scheme
- 354 crores for consumer commission
- Rs 3.90 crore for asset maintenance
- 16.50 crore for weighing department
- 16 crores for formation of food commission
All these schemes have been approved to continue from 2026-27 to 2030-31.
