A provision of Rs 4.38 lakh crore has been made in Madhya Pradesh Budget 2026-27. There is special emphasis on farmer welfare, youth employment, women empowerment and infrastructure development. The budget has been prepared on a development-oriented and knowledge-based model without new taxes.
Bhopal. Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh is continuously moving forward with Narendra Modi’s resolve for knowledge-based development. He said that now industry and infrastructure have also been included in the GYAN model decided for the welfare of the poor, youth, farmers and women power. The budget for the year 2026-27 has been prepared on the guiding principle of “GYAN II”. In this, priority has been given to poor welfare, skill development of youth, income growth of farmers, empowerment of women, expansion of infrastructure and industrial investment.
Development oriented budget of Rs 4.38 lakh crore, without new tax burden
A budget of Rs 4 lakh 38 thousand 317 crore has been presented for the year 2026-27. The Chief Minister said that this budget will realize the dream of “prosperous, prosperous, pleasant and cultural Madhya Pradesh”. Like last year, this time also no new tax has been imposed on the public. This budget is based on good governance, transparency and innovation, which can become an example for other states also.
State economy and increase in per capita income
The Chief Minister said that the gross domestic product of the state in the year 2026-27 is estimated to be Rs 18 lakh 48 thousand 274 crore, which is 10.69 percent more than the year 2025-26. An increase of 9 percent has been recorded in per capita income in the year 2025-26. This is an indication of the strong economic condition of the state. This budget will set the roadmap for development for the next three years and has been prepared keeping in mind the goal of Amritkal 2047.
Agricultural Year: Provision of Rs 1.15 lakh crore for farmer welfare
Giving priority to the agriculture sector, the government has made a total provision of Rs 1 lakh 15 thousand 13 crore.
- For agricultural production and productivity increase: Rs 28,158 crore
- To strengthen the exchange system: Rs 64,995 crore
- To get better price of produce: Rs 8,091 crore
- For Suraksha Chakra: Rs 13,769 crore
The Chief Minister said that the multidimensional poverty index based budget system is an innovative initiative of the state.
Infrastructure development: Capital expenditure over Rs 1 lakh crore
For the first time in the history of the state, the capital expenditure has been kept at more than Rs 1 lakh crore. A provision of Rs 800 crore has been made for the Chief Minister Majra-Tola Road Scheme and Rs 900 crore for the reconstruction of damaged bridges.
Big investment in urban development and ‘Dwarka Yojana’
Works worth Rs 13,851 crore related to Simhastha Mahaparva have been approved, of which there is a provision of Rs 3,060 crore for the year 2026-27. An investment of Rs 5,000 crore is estimated in the next three years in ‘Dwarka Yojana’ for the infrastructure development of cities. The government will bear the registration fees under the Rural Population Land Ownership Rights Scheme. Rs 3,800 crore has been kept for this.
Special focus on child nutrition and women empowerment
A provision of Rs 700 crore has been made for Yashoda Milk Supply Scheme. Rs 6,600 crore will be spent on this in the next five years. Rs 23,883 crore has been earmarked for the Chief Minister Ladli Brahmin Yojana.
Employment, Education and Youth Welfare
Rs 10,428 crore has been kept for Vikas Bharat-Guarantee for Employment and Livelihood Mission (Rural). Sandipani Vidyalaya, PM Shri Mahavidyalaya and new medical colleges are being built in the state. Air connectivity is being strengthened. PM Shri Heli Service has been started for the first time in the state, in which only 1/10 of the normal fare is being charged from the tourists. 13.5 crore tourists have come to Madhya Pradesh, which includes 1.5 lakh foreign tourists.
Wildlife Conservation and Tourism Development
Madhya Pradesh is rich in forest wealth and wildlife. Cheetahs have been successfully reestablished in Kuno National Park. The number of leopards here has increased to 38. This month itself, 8 adult leopards will be brought from Botswana. Wild buffaloes from Assam will also be brought to the forests of the state soon.
