Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated the water park at Dhanpuri in Shahdol and announced several development schemes including making Irrigation Complex, Geeta Bhawan, Jaitpur a Nagar Panchayat. The government reiterated focus on agriculture, employment and tribal development.
A big program related to development and public welfare was organized on Sunday in Dhanpuri of Shahdol district, where Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated the newly constructed water park. On this occasion, he made several important announcements related to the overall development of the region and said that “true promise and firm work is the identity of the state government.”
During the programme, the Chief Minister also handed over appointment letters to the displaced families of SECL. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Madhya Pradesh government is continuously working for the political, social and economic empowerment of the tribal society.
Message of social harmony given on Shabari Jayanti
While extending best wishes on the occasion of Mata Shabari Jayanti, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Mata Shabari is the supreme symbol of sincere devotion, dedication and spiritual practice. The incident of Lord Shri Ram and Mata Shabari teaches that there is no place for caste or discrimination in Sanatan culture. The love of man for man is the basic strength of our civilization.
Government’s focus on agriculture and irrigation
The Chief Minister said that the year 2026 is being celebrated as the Year of Agriculture with the aim of increasing the income of farmers and making farming a profitable business. To make farmers self-reliant in the field of energy, 30 lakh solar pumps will be made available in the state. He said that the area under irrigation in the state has now increased to 44 lakh hectares. Special schemes are also being implemented to promote milk production and pulses production. Along with this, employment opportunities have been created on a large scale for the youth.
Big announcements for Shahdol
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav made many important announcements for the development of Shahdol district. Announcing the construction of Geeta Bhawan, he said that it will provide educational facilities like library and coaching to the students. Apart from this, construction of Shahdol Irrigation Complex was also announced. The Chief Minister said that four micro irrigation projects are proposed on the Son River. This scheme of about Rs 2300 crore will increase the irrigation area by 50 thousand hectares and 122 villages will get direct benefits.
The Chief Minister also announced to make Jaitpur a Nagar Panchayat. Also assured to take necessary action on receipt of proposal from the department regarding increase in seats in Shahdol Medical College.
Emphasis on roads, education and urban development
Dr. Mohan Yadav announced construction of 45 km road in Shahdol district at a cost of Rs 160 crore, construction of Arts and Science Faculty building in Jaitpur College and establishment of a new college. Along with this, he also approved the construction of 3 kilometer long model road.
The Chief Minister said that the aim of the government is not just to make announcements but to implement development works in a time bound manner. These projects in Shahdol and surrounding areas will give new direction in the fields of education, agriculture, health and employment in the coming times.
