In the video, two figures appearing like Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his late mother were shown, in one scene, the character like ‘mother’ is seen scolding PM Modi. As soon as the video was shared, the ruling party called it an insult to the Prime Minister, while the opposition clarified it as a social message. But the most sharp reaction in this entire controversy was given by Independent MP Pappu Yadav from Purnia.

Describing it as a falling tradition of politics, Pappu Yadav said, “Mother is a mother… whether it is poor, rich, of the Chief Minister or Prime Minister. The insult of anyone’s mother should not be accepted in politics. Such a poor experiment is condemnable. The culture and such a tendency to learn from the BJP only. Such rites can only be given.”

Pappu Yadav further said that there should be a place of morality in politics. He warned that such videos will give negative messages in the society and the trust of the public will rise from politics. He further said, “There should be a debate on issues in politics, but taking votes by hurting someone’s personal dignity is shameful for democracy.”
