How to worship Suryadev on Moryai Chhath?
– In the auspicious time on Maiya Chhath, install a picture or statue of Lord Suryadev in a clean place and anoint it with pure water first. After this, do tilak with kumkum and wear a garland of flowers.
After this, light a lamp of pure ghee and offer things like Abir, Gulal, Roli, Rice, Janeu, Molly etc. to Suryadev one by one. Suryadev should also offer red clothes.
While worshiping the Varun form of the Sun, chant the mantra. After this, apply Suryadev as red fruit like sevaphal or jaggery things as per wish.
On this day, donate things related to the sun like copper utensils, red clothes, wheat, jaggery, red sandalwood. On this day, after worshiping Suryadev, one should make a fruit, but without salt.
Measures of Morai Chhath
1. People who have inauspicious effects of Suryadev should ask an astrologer and wear ruby gems. This may reduce their problems.
2. Chant the mantra with a garland of red sandalwood on Maiya Chhath. Do chant at least 5 garlands. This will fulfill your every wish.
3. Donate red flag in a Hanuman temple. If you are not able to do this, then donate red clothes to a Brahmin.
4. Donate things related to the Sun like- wheat, things made of jaggery etc.
5. Offer water to Suryadev and pray for happiness and prosperity.
