School holiday in uttar pradesh: In Uttar Pradesh, the monsoon has once again become active at full speed. Due to continuous heavy rains and waterlogging, the situation has deteriorated in many districts. Following the Meteorological Department’s warning, a holiday has been declared in all schools in Meerut, Bareilly, Moradabad, Rae Bareli and Aligarh. The administration says that this decision has been taken in view of the safety of children. According to media reports, if the weather conditions are disturbed, then September 3 can also be declared a holiday.
Schools closed in many districts on Monday also
The districts of western and Awadh region were also discharged by schools on Monday due to bad weather. Heavy rains and waterlogging in many districts of Terai region including Rae Bareli and Pilibhit deteriorated the situation. People are worried about the school shutdown in Rae Bareli for the second consecutive day.

Monsoon will be affected till 3 September
Senior scientist at Zonal Meteorological Center, Lucknow, Atul Kumar Singh said that due to active cyclonic circulation and western disturbance for the last two days, the monsoon line has slipped towards the north. For this reason, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall in many districts. According to the Meteorological Department, the intensity of rain may decrease from September 3.

- Orange alert of extremely heavy rain: Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar and surrounding areas.
- Yellow alert of heavy rains: Pratapgarh, Sonbhadra, Mirzapur, Bhadohi, Jaunpur, Hardoi, Farrukhabad, Kannauj, Kanpur Dehat, Baghpat, Meerut, Aligarh, Mathura, Hathras, Kasganj, Etah, Mainpuri, Etawah, Auraiya, Amroha, Sambhal, Badaun and nearest districts.
