MP Heavy Rain Alert 2025: The monsoon mood in Madhya Pradesh seems to be deteriorating again. On the one hand, while there is a shortage of water in some parts of the state, the warning of heavy rains in the next 24 hours in the districts of Gwalior, Chambal and Sagar divisions has increased the concern of the people. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy rain in 14 districts of the state, which has expressed the possibility of up to 4.5 inches of rain.
5 Weather System Active: Is this the real reason for heavy rain?
According to meteorologists, five different weather systems are active over the state. From the trough line to the cyclonic circulation, there is a possibility of rain. These include cyclones over the northwest Bihar, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Arabian Sea, which are bringing moisture.
Which districts are the most danger in which districts?
Rain alert has been released in the following districts:
- Gwalior, Morena, Bhind, Sheopur, Datia
- Ashoknagar, Shivpuri, Guna
- Chhatarpur, Damoh, Panna, Sagar
- Tikamgarh, Niwari
In these districts, water can fall up to 4.5 inches in the next 24 hours, which can create waterlogging and flood conditions.
Will there be flood -like environment again in MP?
Last week, flood -like conditions had occurred after heavy rains in Jabalpur, Rewa and Shahdol divisions. The Betwa River took a formidable form in Raisen. The fields, temples and bridges were submerged in water. Given the current situation, the government and administration are completely on alert mode.
How much water is rain till now? What is the figure?
Since June 16, Madhya Pradesh has received 28.4 inches of rain, while on an average only 19 inches of rain was expected. That is, so far 9.4 inches more rainfall has been received. The monsoon quota is expected to be completed in August itself. Be cautious, be safe. If you live in the above districts, then be alert for 48 hours.
