New Delhi: An amusing incident has come to light from Gujarat’s Patan district which was captured on video. The video of the hilarious incident is going viral now on social media platforms.
Reports said a woman was standing with her mobile phone in Aghar village near Patan when all of sudden, a troop of monkeys arrived at the place. A while later, one of the simians — the more curious among the lot — snatched the mobile phone from the woman’s hand. Initially, people were awe-struck, but what happened afterwards was even more amazing.
After snatching the mobile phone, the monkey sat down on one side with the handset and started fiddling with it — looking intently at its screen. The video shows the ape trying to figure out how the device worked. At some point, it even looked like the monkey was posing for a selfie in front of the mobile phone.
The other monkeys in the troop tried to take the mobile phone from their ‘mate’. But the primate refused to forego the ‘prized possession’ and the ‘newfound discovery’.
The entire incident was recorded by a bystander, and the video is now going viral on social media platforms. People are watching it with great amusement and fun, while many are dubbing the monkey’s antics as a “selfie craze”.
