CAT National General Secretary and BJP MP from Delhi Chandni Chowk, Praveen Khandelwal said that Ganesh Chaturthi has large economic activities in states like Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Goa, which shows the importance of Indian Sanatan economy. CAT national president BC Bhartia said that this year more than 2 lakh Ganesh pandals will be set up across the country. Maharashtra is the highest in Maharashtra, about 7 lakhs, 5 lakh in Karnataka, 2-2 lakhs in Andhra, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, 1 lakh in Gujarat, 2 lakh pandals are being installed in the rest of India. If a minimum of ₹ 50,000 per pandal is considered to be more than ₹ 10,500 crore to be spent on pandals.
This will be a business of crores
The business of Karan Ganesh idols due to the prices of rising raw materials is more than ₹ 600 crore. Pooja materials, especially flowers, garlands, coconut, fruits, incense etc. are more than ₹ 500 crore. Ganpati Bappa sells dear modak laddus and other sweets of more than ₹ 2,000 crore. Every day a program is organized in the pandals, for which catering and snacks have about ₹ 3,000 crore business. There is a trade of more than ₹ 2,000 crore in tourism and transport. Retail and festival related items trade up to ₹ 3,000 crore
Gold-silver business
Ganpati Pandal has now become modern. For this, event management service is taken, which makes a turnover of about ₹ 5,000 crore. Garbage management and increase in environmental services, such as immersion in artificial tanks, recycling the decoration materials are also expected. Apart from this, devotees buy gold and silver jewelery on Ganeshotsav and donate them in public pandals. At the same time, all people in Maharashtra go to each other’s homes to visit Ganpati Bappa, in which silver statue of Ganesha, silver coins are also given as an offering, which makes the trade of jewelery around 1000 crores.

In the last few years, there were many accidents due to increasing crowd at religious places, due to which insurance of Ganesh Mandals has started. At the same time, in many pandals, jewelry worth lakhs of rupees is also offered on the idols of Ganpati, in such a situation, in the fear of any untoward, Ganpati Mandals also insure their pandals, which makes a lot of business of insurance companies. This year an insurance business of more than 1000 crores is estimated to be. Shankar Thakkar said that this festival season starts from Rakshabandhan and runs till Ganesh Chaturthi, Navratri, Dussehra, Karva Chauth, Diwali, Chhath Puja and marriage weather, which leads the Indian economy to a dynamic flow.
