The flavor of the team is not known at the moment, but in IPL 2026, the look of Lucknow Super Giants may seem to have changed to a great extent. The big thing is that Lucknow Super Giants is showing its interest in the old people associated with Kavya Maran’s franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad. First LSG added its former captain Kane Williamson. And, now the Lucknow franchise has also roped in former Sunrisers Hyderabad coach Tom Moody.
Tom Moody becomes global director of LSG
Lucknow Super Giants has appointed Tom Moody as Global Director of Cricket. Global Director means that he will be the head of RPSG’s teams playing in IPL, SA20 and The Hundred. In simple language, Tom Moody will now have the same role in Lucknow Super Giants as Mahela Jayawardene has in Mumbai Indians. However, at present no official information has been revealed regarding what will be the salary of Tom Moody if he is made the Global Director. Lucknow Super Giants Management hopes that the joining of Tom Moody will infuse new energy into the franchise.

Tom Moody is another person, who was earlier associated with Kavya Maran’s Sunrisers Hyderabad and has now become a part of Lucknow Super Giants. Before him, Kane Williamson was appointed as its strategic advisor by the Lucknow franchise.
Who is the support staff of LSG?
Apart from these two, the captain, coach and the rest of the support staff in Lucknow Super Giants are almost the same who were already with the team. The command of the team will be in the hands of Rishabh Pant in IPL 2026 also. The head coach will be Justin Langer. Lance Klusener is the assistant coach of the team while Bharat Arun is in the role of bowling coach.
Lucknow Super Giants entered IPL 2022 for the first time. Gujarat Titans debuted with him. But since then only the Gujarat franchise has been successful in winning the title.
