Nani’s The Paradise has crossed the Rs. 155 crore worldwide gross mark, but the film witnessed a noticeable dip in BookMyShow ticket sales on Monday after a strong opening weekend. While a weekday drop is normal, the numbers make for an interesting comparison with another release, The Vvaan.
Released just a day after Nani’s film, Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia-starrer The Vvaan sold 117.36K tickets on BookMyShow on Monday, while The Paradise sold 72.58K tickets. Interestingly, The Paradise is a multilingual release, whereas The Vvaan is a Hindi-language film. The Monday figure also marks The Paradise’s lowest single-day BookMyShow ticket sales since its release.
Meanwhile, The Vvaan is gradually gathering pace at the box office and is nearing the Rs. 50 crore nett mark. Directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra, the film is backed by Ektaa Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor.
