Mohitt Maalik Wraps Mirzapur: The Film’s Jaisalmer Schedule, To Shoot In Mumbai Next

Mohitt Maalik, who made a striking Bollywood debut with Azaad, recently joined the cast of one of the most anticipated projects, Mirzapur: The Film. The actor took to his social media to announce the same and share his excitement about being a part of one of the biggest franchises.

Now, the actor has recently wrapped his intense Jaisalmer schedule, reportedly filled with high-octane action sequences, and is now gearing up for the Mumbai shoot. Sharing a behind-the-scenes glimpse on Instagram, Mohitt wrote, “Jaisalmer wrapped. Mumbai next. Kahani aur gehri hogi. #MirzapurTheFilm”

Mohitt Maalik on joining Mirzapur: The Film

Sharing his excitement and happiness on social media, Mohitt Maalik posted a warm note he received from the producers and wrote, “Excited to join the world of Mirzapur! Thank you to the team and producers for this warm welcome on board. Grateful and looking forward to this journey.”

The handwritten welcome note sent by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar reads, “Dear Mohit, we are excited to have you on the team for Mirzapur. Can’t wait to see the magic you bring to the screen. Best wishes, Ritesh and Farhan.”

Alongside Mirzapur, Mohit is also set to return to television. He will be seen in a mythological role as Lord Shiva in Sony TV’s upcoming show Ganesh Kartikey. This project is completely different from his film, proving once again that Mohit is not afraid to experiment and take risks.

About Mirzapur: The Film

Mirzapur: The Film will see the return of fan-favorite cast members like Pankaj Tripathi (Kaleen Bhaiya) and Ali Fazal (Guddu Pandit), Divyenndu (Munna Bhaiya), Abhishek Banerjee (Compounder), Rasika Dugal (Beena Tripathi), Shweta Tripathi (Golu Gupta), promising a larger-than-life cinematic experience. Adding to the cast is Jitendra Kumar, who will be replacing Vikrant Massey in Mirzapur: The Film, as well as Ravi Kishan and Mohit Malik in significant roles. Meanwhile, yesterday, Sonal Chauhan also confirmed that she has joined the cast of the film.

Backed by Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment, it is a cinematic adaptation of the popular Prime Video series and will bring back the original cast, except Vikrant Massey. The big-screen adaptation is slated for a 2026 theatrical release across India before making its way to OTT platforms.
