‘Saira’ rose to PVR Inox
These days, Mohit Suri’s film Saira has made a splash in theaters and PVR Inox is benefiting. This film has not only won the hearts of the audience, but has also given a tremendous bounce in the shares of the company. Today PVR INOX shares closed at Rs 1032.45 with a gain of 13.05 points i.e. 1.28%. During the day, this stock also reached high of Rs 1045. It jumped 2.5% in intraday trading, which is a big thing in itself.
Syara created a stir at the box office
Saira of Mohit Suri has made a furore at the box office as soon as it is released. Viewers are running towards theaters to watch this film and almost every show is going to houseful. Released on Friday, the film earned Rs 21 crore on the first day, this figure reached 25 crores on Saturday, and on Sunday, Syara collected Rs 37 crore. So far, this film has grossed a total of Rs 83 crore. Its effect is also visible on the earnings of multiplex chains like PVR Inox.
Multiplexes crossing from short films
Multiplex business has been tremendous in the last six months. While big Bollywood films have been flopping, small films are also showing amazing. In the first half of this year, Bollywood’s total collection rose 14% to Rs 5723 crore. The special thing is that the contribution of the top-10 films was 44% earlier, which has now come down to 39%. That is, the brightness of small films is increasing and the fate of multiplex chain is also shining.
Regional cinema is making a boom
In 2025, many films have rocked at the box office. Chhawa made it to the top by earning worldwide 809 crore rupees. After this, Housefull-5 collected 292 crores, L2: Emapuran 268 crore, stars on land 258 crores and Sankrantik Vastunam collected Rs 248 crore. In 2024, where there were 10 films earning more than 100 crores, in 2025 this number increased to 17.
Along with Bollywood, regional cinema has also shown amazing this year. Hindi films contributed 39% to the collection from January to June 2025, while Telugu films contributed 19%, Tamil films 17%, Hollywood 10% and the rest of other languages contributed 15%. These figures make it clear that the audience is now liking good stories of every language. Whether it is Telugu’s banging action film or Tamil’s emotional story, all kinds of films are going on in theaters.
