New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in his 12th consecutive Independence Day speech from the Red Fort on Friday that providing food for every citizen after independence was a big challenge. He said that the hard work of our farmers, cattle rearers and maze has made India self -sufficient. The PM clarified that the interests of the farmers will not be compromised and they are standing like a wall in front of any harmful policy. He assured the countrymen towards ‘self -reliant India’ and also conveyed a message on international tariffs and trade deadlock without naming.
