New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has invited the Indian team that won the Women’s ODI World Cup to his official residence. The Indian team will be welcomed at the Prime Minister’s Office on Wednesday. BCCI said that they have received a message from the Prime Minister’s Office to call the Indian team. The members of the Indian team present in Mumbai will leave for Delhi by tomorrow evening to meet the Prime Minister. Only after this all the team members will go to their respective homes.

This morning, in a public program in Saharsa, Bihar, the Prime Minister had praised the Indian team that won the World Cup. He had said, “Yesterday, India’s daughters created history in Mumbai. India has won the World Cup. After 25 years, the Women’s World Cup has got a new champion.
