Model X Or Cybertruck, Here’s What The Brand Could Bring Next

Tesla Cars In India:  Tesla, the US electric car manufacturer, opened its second experience centre in Delhi on August 11, 2025. The brand began its official journey in the country on July 15 with the opening of its first-ever showroom. The Elon Musk-led brand also launched its first product, the Model Y electric compact SUV, in the country on the same day. Globally, Tesla offers a total of 5 vehicles, including the Model Y, Model 3, Model X, Model S, and the Cybertruck. The brand is already offering Model Y in India, but do you know which could be the next Tesla car in the country?

Tesla Model 3

While the Tesla Model Y is an electric compact SUV, the Model 3 is a sedan. The Model 3 has been spotted testing on the Indian roads for quite some time now. Globally, the Tesla Model 3 is offered in a total of 3 variants: standard, long range, and Performance. It offers options of a Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) and an All Wheel Drive (AWD) powertrains. While the standard variant has a battery capacity of 57.5 kWh, the Long Range and Performance variants of the sedan come equipped with a 75 kWh battery. It can deliver a range of up to 557 kilometers in a full charge. We can expect the Tesla Model 3 to be launched soon in India, as it has already been spotted testing several times.

Tesla Model X

The Tesla Model X is an SUV, and it has a higher prospect of being launched in India compared to other cars from the brand’s lineup. The Model X is available in 5-seater, 6-seater, and 7-seater layouts. Currently, we have limited options for an all-electric car with a seven-seater layout. Additionally, the demand for SUVs in India has seen an upward trend in recent years. Looking at all these facts, we anticipate that Model X can be the brand’s next car in the country. The brand offers the Model X in a long-range version, along with a plaid variant globally. The Model X Plaid is the fastest electric SUV in the world, and it can sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds. The Long-range model, on the other hand, can go from 0-100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds, and it has a claimed range of up to 560 kilometers once fully charged.

Tesla Model S

The world’s second-largest electric car manufacturer also has a sedan offering in its lineup known as the Model S. The all-electric sedan by the brand is popular for its performance, and it can sprint from 0-100 under 1.99 seconds with the Plaid mode activated. The Model S by Tesla gets a three-display setup inside the cabin. It gets a 17.4-inch display at the front, which controls most of the car’s functions. The electric sedan market in the country is very condensed, and demand for sedans has considerably decreased in recent years. These facts can pose a serious challenge to the Model S, and thus, we don’t expect to be brought to the country by the brand.

Tesla Cybertruck

The Tesla Cybertruck is one of the brand’s most popular vehicles globally. It gets a stainless steel body, and while the brand doesn’t claim that it is bulletproof, it claims that the body of the Cybertruck can withstand shots from a 9mm shotgun. It secured a 5-star safety rating from the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration), just like the other Tesla cars. While the all-electric pickup segment in India has very limited offerings, demand for pickups is quite constrained. Thus, we can anticipate the Tesla Cybertruck to be launched in India, just not yet. The brand has just begun its journey in the country, and at this time, it will focus more on increasing its sales.
