Gurugram News: In a shocking incident, a model was allegedly harassed at Gurugram’s Rajiv Chowk at around 11 am on August 2. The woman narrated the disturbing incident in a video message. She alleged that the incident happened while she was waiting for a cab at the busy intersection in Gurugram after returning from Jaipur.
“While I was waiting for a cab, I noticed a man; he was constantly staring at me. Initially I just ignored, like others too, but then I noticed that his pants were unzipped and he literally kept staring and started masturbating in front of me,” she said in the video.

“He was very aware of what he was doing. He was just making me feel uncomfortable, and I felt very-very disgusting,” the model added.
The woman further alleged that she had to book another cab as the driver of the previously booked cab was not picking up her call.
“Initially I froze, I didn’t record, I didn’t hit him, and people say you could have taken some action, you could have hit him, maybe shouted at him, but they don’t understand what really goes through that person and girl’s mind in that moment,” she went on to say.

The woman first tried to connect to a woman’s helpline, however, she couldn’t. She then searched the contact number of the nearest police station and reported the incident. However, she was asked to come and file a written complaint.
The woman tagged the Gurugram Police and Haryana government in her video following which the authorities swung into action and registered a case at Civil Lines police station under Sections 75(2) and 78 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Efforts are underway to find the accused using CCTV footage from the area.
