On Navratri, more than 5 lakh girls were worshiped in Uttar Pradesh under Mission Shakti 5.0. More than 1,500 girls were added through the Chief Minister Kanya Sumangla Yojana. The campaign promoted the empowerment of daughters and their role in society.
On the auspicious occasion of Navratri, the Mission Shakti 5.0 campaign led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given a new height to women safety, honor and self -reliance in Uttar Pradesh. On 30 September and 1 October on the call of the Women and Child Development Department, on the occasion of Ashtami-Navami, girls worship programs were organized in the entire state. On the day of Ashtami, more than 5 lakh girls were honored and more than 1,500 girls were linked to the Chief Minister Kanya Sumangla Yojana.
Kanya Pujan: New revolution in society with religious rituals
Under the Mission Shakti 5.0, Virgo Pujan has become not only a religious ritual, but has become a symbol of social revolution that establishes the birth of Virgo as a celebration in the society. The campaign, which has been going on since September 20, has given a comprehensive message to strengthen the honor and safety of women and girls.

Girls get an opportunity to become self -sufficient through schemes
In the programs, girls were motivated for education, nutrition, health and self -sufficiency. Forms of Kanya Sumangala scheme were filled at special counters, which provides financial assistance of Rs 25,000 from birth to higher education.
Daughters are the real power of family and society
Leena Johri, Principal Secretary, Women and Child Development Department, said that Kanya Pujan gives a message to the society that daughters are power and future heritage. Women’s Welfare Director Sandeep Kaur said that the flame of empowerment of mission Shakti daughters is ignited throughout the state.
Women Welfare Minister Baby Rani Morya, Minister of State Pratibha Shukla, Minister in-charge, District Magistrate, Public Representative and Administrative Officer were present in the programs organized in different districts. Through cultural presentations, folk songs and dialogues, not only the girls were honored but also made aware of their rights and security.
