She recently shared a video on her Instagram account, revealing a special corner of her home that she calls her “Health Bar.” This health bar is strategically placed next to her children’s snack counter, making it easier for the entire family to choose nutritious options.
In her post, Mira expressed that she had long wanted to create such a health bar. She finally organized nuts, seeds, superfoods, and healthy powders from her kitchen drawers into a beautiful and tidy shelf. She believes that when healthy items are visible, it becomes easier to incorporate them into daily life. Mira mentioned that it was time to refill her health bar with the healthy snacks sent by friends and family.
The video features Mira giving her followers a complete tour of the health bar setup. She explains that it was designed specifically to improve her family’s snacking habits. According to her, every household faces the same question around 4 PM: “Mom, I’m hungry. What can we eat?” If healthy snacks are easily visible, children are more likely to choose them.
Mira pointed out that often, packets of dry fruits, seeds, and healthy snacks are tucked away in kitchen cabinets or pantries, leading people to forget about them and opt for unhealthy alternatives. To combat this, she has placed everything in transparent jars on an open shelf.
Her health bar includes almonds, walnuts, pistachios, and various seeds. Additionally, she has organized superfoods like NMN powder, spirulina powder, and moringa powder in separate jars. Mira shared that she enjoys mixing moringa and spirulina powder with coconut water, for which she has a special spoon that transforms into a straw, making it easy to mix and drink.
The health bar features not only nuts and powders but also a variety of healthy snacks. Mira has included flavored fox nuts, dates, dried cranberries, protein bars, rajgira chikki, rice crisps, and homemade seed and nut bars. She noted that many of these items were sent by her friends and family.
Mira believes that for adopting a healthy lifestyle, it is crucial to have nutritious items readily available and visible. She stated that if something is kept in a cupboard, the likelihood of consuming it is very low. However, when these items are placed in sight, it becomes easier to choose them as snacks. This way, gradually incorporating small amounts of nuts, seeds, and superfoods into daily meals becomes a habit.
She also mentioned that this small change has resolved another issue for her. Her children no longer need to repeatedly ask what they can have for snacks. By looking at the items available in the health bar, they can choose healthy options themselves.
