Visakhapatnam: Mild tremors jolted Anakapalli district of Andhra Pradesh on Thursday night, shaking the ground for a few seconds, Tv9 Telugu reported.
The epicentre of the quake was located in the vicinity of Rambilli mandal. Officials said that the earthquake measured 3.7 on the Richter scale. National Centre for Seismology said that it occurred at around 12:30:21 am.
“The intensity was very low and the epicentre was identified at a depth of 20 kilometers beneath the Earth’s surface. There is no need for anyone to panic,” said Prof. Yugandhar of AU Geology Department.
