Singer Mika Singh recently shared the interesting story behind his popular song ‘Bheegi Bheegi Raaton Mein’, featuring actress Raai Laxmi.
He revealed that the collaboration came about entirely by chance, during a casual coffee meeting.
Speaking to IANS, Mika explained, “Raai Laxmi is an old friend, and our song ‘Bheegi Bheegi Raaton Mein’ happened so spontaneously! There was absolutely no preparation or planning. We were sitting together, sipping coffee, when we thought, why not do something together? Believe it or not, the very next day, we shot the song.” This highlights how some of the most memorable creative projects can emerge from unexpected moments rather than elaborate plans.
Mika emphasized the special place this song holds for him, adding, “Sometimes, the most beautiful memories are created without any planning. This song is one of my absolute favourites because I shot it with one of my favourite people. It will always remain special to me.” The original ‘Bheegi Bheegi Raaton Mein’, a romantic track, was penned by Anand Bakshi with music by R. D. Burman. Mika’s rendition, featuring Sneha Shankar as a co-singer and Raai Laxmi in the video, brought a fresh take to the classic.
Recently, Mika and Raai Laxmi reunited, rekindling memories of their collaboration and their enduring friendship. This reunion celebrated not just the song but also the bond that led to its spontaneous creation, offering fans a glimpse into their shared history.
