Mihika Yadav vs Snehal Patil Women’s Singles Final: Mihika Basks in Singles Glory, Thwarts Snehal’s Dream Run at Rise Up Championship

Mihika Yadav, India’s No. 1 women’s singles player, lit up the seaside courts of Chennai on Sunday as she halted the dream run of Snehal Kishor Patil to capture the women’s singles crown at the Rise Up Championship – Pickleball By The Bay 2025, the IPA-sanctioned PWR 1000 event.

A player seasoned with international exposure, Mihika showcased her dazzling skills, court craft, and nerves of steel in a high-octane final, prevailing 11-8, 11-4 against the in-form Snehal, who reached three finals at the event.

Snehal, fresh from her women’s doubles triumph earlier in the day, came out upbeat in the opening game and matched Mihika stroke for stroke early on. But Mihika, patient and precise, turned predator at the business end of the game – drawing errors from Snehal and accelerating to take the lead.

From there, Mihika turned on the heat on Snehal. Playing hard and fast, she left Snehal gasping for answers in the second game before closing out the contest in straight games. Snehal had to settle for silver, adding to her women’s doubles gold.

The title at India’s biggest pickleball event further underlined Mihika’s blossoming career. She recently competed in the inaugural season of the PPA Tour Asia across Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Japan, in addition to winning gold at the Dubai Open and bronze at the Monsoon Pickleball Championships earlier this year.
