New Delhi: Microsoft has announced a significant growth of its enterprise AI approach by releasing the Frontier Suite, a fresh product which integrates intelligence, trust, and trustworthy security. The announcement involves Wave 3 of Microsoft 365 Copilot, more model choices as well as Claude by Anthropic, and the future general availability of Agent 365 and Microsoft 365 E7 beginning May 1.
The corporation claims that companies are no longer experimenting with AI, and they are demanding actual results. Microsoft poses the Frontier Suite as a platform that would be able to integrate AI into daily work and provide a high level of governance and security throughout enterprise systems.
Microsoft 365 Copilot Wave 3 brings deeper AI integration
Microsoft 365 Copilot: Microsoft has released Wave 3 of Microsoft 365 Copilot, which consists of agent-driven features in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. The update enhances the chat experience of Copilot and enables users to create and edit documents, spreadsheets, and presentations with the help of AI in those items.
The employees will also have an opportunity to create their own AI agents within the apps they are already using. According to Microsoft, this method is based on its Work IQ intelligence layer, which comprehends the way groups cooperate, the documents they read and the processes they complete.
Microsoft expands model choices with OpenAI and Claude
There will also be more models that can be used within Copilot by Microsoft. The system will now be compatible with the next-generation OpenAI models and also Claude provided by Anthropic, which means that the enterprises will have more freedom in the selection of AI capabilities.
Microsoft said that Copilot was built with the concept that it should support multiple models rather than just one provider. The company is convinced that this open way can make organisations select the most perfect models in carrying out various tasks without putting themselves in lock-in with the vendor.
Agent 365 to launch
In a bid to deal with the increasing AI agents in organisations, Microsoft is introducing a new platform, Agent 365, which will enable IT departments to monitor and control AI agents in the company.
At the cost of $15 per user, Agent 365 is a centralised control platform in terms of which enterprises monitor, regulate and protect AI agents. Microsoft claims that tens of millions of agents have been registered already in the Agent 365 registry in the preview stage.
Within Microsoft, over 500,000 internal agents are already being utilised in applications like research, coding, customer support, sales intelligence, and HR services.
Microsoft 365 E7 Frontier Suite combines AI and security
Microsoft is also launching Microsoft 365 E7: The Frontier Suite, which will start to be offered on May 1 at the price of 99 per user. The bundle will include a combination of the Microsoft 365 E5 with Microsoft 365 Copilot and Microsoft 365 Agent 365 into one enterprise-wide AI platform.
The suite comes built-in with Microsoft Entra, Defender, Intune and Purview security features. Microsoft claims that it aims to provide organisations with a single platform where AI tools can be deployed, with the firm’s governance and compliance being upheld. Through these updates, Microsoft will assist businesses to move beyond small AI pilot projects to large-scale implementations capable of producing quantifiable business value.
